Thalapathy Vijay’s much awaited last film *Jana Nayagan* has generated a wave of excitement in India that has now spread to countries outside India. Even a Singapore-based company is taking half-day leave to watch the film on its opening day.
AAJ Groups PTE LTD will give employees time off on July 23, 2026 to watch *Jana Nayagan* in theaters. The company will be closed from 8 am to 12 PM to give employees a chance to see the film in the morning and resume work at 12 PM.
The announcement was widely shared on X by the Singapore Thalapathy Vijay Fans Club. The notice refers to Vijay as the “Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri C. Joseph Vijay (Thalapathy Vijay)” and states that the leave is granted in relation to the release of his final film.
The gesture has delighted Vijay fans and they have said it is a celebration of the actor’s global fame. Social media users praised the company, and even some fans joke that other companies should follow their lead and give employees time off for the first-day-first-show experience.
