Suriya Set for Third Movie of 2026, ‘Scene’ to Hit Theatres This Diwali
In another theatrical release in the upcoming year, Suriya is getting ready for another movie.
His upcoming Tamil film Scene which was earlier known as Suriya 47, is set to be released in theaters on November 6, 2026, as we are celebrating the Diwali season this year.
It was officially announced with the title of the film and first glimpse on September 9, which triggered Suriya’s fans’ excitement.
Scene is directed by Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan and is expected to show Suriya in a different and intense role.
Suriya plays a police officer in the film, which will be action-driven.
The film is said to have an unusual cop character, and details about the plot and Suriya’s character are expected to emerge as the film moves closer to its theatrical release.
Suriya will have three theatrical releases in 2026 with Scene. His first release of the year was Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji and starring Trisha Krishnan. The movie was released worldwide on May 14 and combines action, courtroom drama, and fantasy.
Suriya followed it with Vishwanath And Sons, directed by Venky Atluri. Mamitha Baiju is also in the film, which was released on August 14.
Unlike the action-heavy atmosphere of Scene, Vishwanath And Sons was a family entertainer with romance and emotion.
With the arrival of Scene, Suriya will get one more chance to connect with audiences before the end of the year.
The actor has already been in contrasting roles in his two releases, and the forthcoming movie will see him back in action mode.
The Diwali release window could also make the film an important theatrical outing. Festive times bring in huge crowds to cinemas, and there are a handful of major movies to watch during this period as well.
