The much awaited biopic on the great Carnatic vocalist and Bharat Ratna awardee MS Subbulakshmi is making a few more waves with the news of Rashmika Mandanna being cast to portray the iconic singer on the screen.
The project has been in progress for some time now, mainly because of the huge legacy of MS Subbulakshmi and the difficulty of bringing a new film about the life of one of India’s most celebrated classical musicians on top of the list of all time.
