Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s luxury restaurant Mercii in Mumbai has once again caught attention for its eye-catching menu prices.
Set in high-end Santacruz, the world-class restaurant has European-like cuisine, high-end ingredients and an elaborate luxury atmosphere at a price tag that can be charged.
One of the main talking points is the restaurant’s most expensive main-course offering. Herb-Crusted Lamb Loin is listed at ₹10,000, Truffle Pasta on Wheel is ₹8,500.
The menu also includes Teriyaki Salmon at around ₹4,000. Some social media posts and reports have referred to a ₹10,000 fish or seafood preparation, but published menu reports specifically identify the ₹10,000 signature dish as Herb-Crusted Lamb Loin.
Truffle Pasta on Wheel is another standout. The pasta comes with truffle sauce and Parmesan cheese and is presented theatrically, making it as much about the restaurant experience as it is the food.
But the prices get even more eye-catching with beverages. Mercii’s wine and champagne list includes premium French imports, with some champagne bottles at ₹1,88,550.
Reports have also placed the restaurant’s most expensive red wine at around ₹1.40 lakh, while some white wines can cost up to ₹69,000.
Though luxurious, Mercii’s menu isn’t limited to luxury dishes. Its Quattro Formaggi pizza is priced at ₹1,100, while other pizzas are priced between ₹800 and ₹1,100. Cocktails are slightly more accessible, starting around ₹900 and going up to ₹1,200.
The restaurant itself is designed to match its extravagant menu. Mercii is almost 9,000 square feet and has an immersive ceiling, changing its lighting from full on to low at night.
Its space is large and luxurious with plush seating, a large bar and a DJ area.
Arpita Khan’s entry into the hospitality business was inspired by her long-standing connection to food and family gatherings. Mercii was founded as a European fine-dining destination and Arpita collaborated with hospitality and entertainment entrepreneurs.
The name of the restaurant, ‘Mercii’, is the French word for ‘thank you’.
With celebrity interest, dramatic interiors and a menu of dishes worth thousands of rupees, Mercii has established itself in Mumbai’s luxury dining scene.
Food lovers can expect to spend big and that the restaurant is a big deal in that it brings premium food, imported drinks and a theatrical presentation together in one room.
