Aamir reported that both his previous wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, did not convert to Islam when they married him. He also revealed that Gauri Spratt is a Christian, adding that she is "not even a practising Christian."

"Neither Gauri, Kiran nor Reena converted their religion; we had civil marriages. Gauri is not even Hindu, she is Christian, and not even a practising Christian at that. Life is getting more comical as time passes," Aamir added.

The actor’s comments came as online discussions and criticism erupted on his relationship with Gauri Spratt. Aamir countered claims that religion had a say in his personal relationships by saying all his marriages were performed under civil law as opposed to religious customs.

Aamir Khan was married to Reena Dutta, with whom he had two children before they separated. He married filmmaker Kiran Rao, who announced their separation in 2021, but they remain on good terms and co-parent their son Azad.

He has fueled the debate on social media, and it’s the case that many on social media have to thank him for clarification, while others are still arguing. But the actor didn’t seem to have a worry about the criticism, and he said the allegations were getting “comical.”

Aamir has not spoken to speculation about his relationships in the past as he is usually very private. This is the first time that he has spoken out against such claims so publicly.

However, neither Aamir Khan nor Gauri Spratt has given any further details about their reported marriage beyond what the actor has said. It's a discussion on the internet, but Aamir's statement is a clear statement—none of his wives converted to Islam, and all of his marriages were civil marriages based on personal choice and not religious conversion.
