Emmy Awards 2026 Winners List: Widow’s Bay Leads as DTF St. Louis and Spider-Noir Score Big
The 78th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards weekend has ended with its two-night Creative Arts Emmys ceremony (with several of the most popular TV shows winning before the TV show's main Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony).
After two nights of celebrations at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the Television Academy awarded 102 Emmy trophies in creative, technical, and performance categories. Apple's Widow's Bay won eight awards overall, while Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny, DTF St. Louis, The Traitors, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Spider-Noir all had good performances.
The main Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Thursday, September 14, and will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.
Widow's Bay is at the top of the winners list
Apple TV’s Widow’s Bay had a great second night that brought various awards in acting, music, cinematography, production design, and sound.
Betty Gilpin won Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as Sarah Westcott Warren. The show also received awards for comedy-series casting, half-hour cinematography, narrative production design, music supervision and music composition.
Her wins in technical categories helped Widow's Bay end the Creative Arts Emmys weekend with eight wins, leading its show score to a record.
DTF St. Louis makes a strong showing
DTF St. Louis was also another big winner on Night 2. The limited or anthology series won both supporting acting categories, with David Harbour winning Supporting Actor and Linda Cardellini winning Supporting Actress.
Series creator Steven Conrad also had a very successful evening and won both the writing and directing awards for a limited or anthology series or movie.
The show also won cinematography and picture editing prizes to bring its total to six awards after two nights.
Spider-Noir has the biggest win
Prime Video’s Spider-Noir also had a successful Creative Arts Emmys weekend. The series won five awards, including cinematography, title design, visual effects, sound editing and stunt coordination.
Its strong performance across technical categories underlines the scale of the production and the importance of visual effects, sound and stunt work in modern television.
South Park wins Emmy in animation
South Park added another Emmy to its long Emmy history by winning Outstanding Animated Program for Sermon On The Mount.
The show is the fifth time it has won in the category and the first since 2013, and marks one more of these awards in the long list of awards it has ever won.
Hulu’s Paradise also won its first Emmy of the weekend when Shailene Woodley won Guest Actress in a Drama Series for playing Annie.
Another big moment came when veteran actor Ernest Harden Jr. received a standing ovation after winning Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his appearance in The Pitt.
Palm Royale, Stranger Things and Other winners
Apple TV+’s Palm Royale held on to the series despite the cancellation and won awards in choreography, makeup and costumes.
Netflix's Remarkably Bright Creatures won Outstanding Movie, while Stranger Things went for Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie.
The Pitt was another strong performer and picked up four awards in casting, prosthetic makeup, and guest acting categories.
The second night also had a great voice-over moment. Accepting the Character Voice-Over Performance award in Bridgerton with Julie Andrews, Eric Bauza had a Donald Duck-like voice as an acceptance speech.
Saturday's Major Winners
The first night of Creative Arts Emmys had already produced several notable winners.
The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny won seven awards and was one of the biggest winners of the weekend. The Traitors got six trophies, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert got five.
The Muppet Show took four awards, and Jimmy Kimmel won Outstanding Game Show Host. Octavia Spencer was recognized for narrating Lost Women of Alaska.
Mariska Hargitay also enjoyed a memorable weekend after winning Emmys for My Mom Jayne (including the documentary).

Apple TV leads platform Tally
Apple TV also took the lead after the two Creative Arts Emmy nights with 19 wins. HBO Max was second with 16, while Netflix achieved 13.
NBC had seven wins, Peacock six and CBS five. Disney+, Prime Video, and several other platforms also won multiple trophies.
After the Creative Arts Emmys, we turn our attention to the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14. The main show will decide the Emmy-winning TV series of the summer and will provide another chance for many of the most celebrated TV shows, actors, and creators to further cement their Emmy haul.
