KATSEYE will not perform at Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming Daisy Chain Fields festival due to the ankle injury of Megan during the rehearsals. The world-famous girl group was due to be part of the women-led music show but the injury has forced the members to step away from the performance just days before the festival.

The group confirmed the cancellation after Megan sprained her ankle on August 26 while rehearsing for KATSEYE’s upcoming performances. Doctors went to check on her and advised her to avoid putting weight on the affected ankle and to take time to recover. Based on the doctors' advice, KATSEYE decided to stop working at Daisy Chain Fields.
The decision comes at an important time for KATSEYE as it is about to embark on its WILD WORLD TOUR. The group’s international tour will begin in Dublin on September 1 and Megan’s recovery has become a priority. She is going to choose not to go to the festival to give her time to heal before the full-fledged live performances begin.
Megan also voiced disappointment at not having Daisy Chain Fields. The singer was especially excited to take part in the event because of the focus on women artists and performers. The festival has a lot of women in it because it’s full of strong female voices of the music industry and KATSEYE was particularly anticipated by fans.
Devon Again has been added to the Daisy Chain Fields lineup due to KATSEYE’s departure. The festival will continue with a wealth of artists that will still provide a lot of entertainment for the audience. Olivia Rodrigo will be headlining the event with Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and Karen O.
Megan’s injury is a new challenge for KATSEYE. The group is also now at a less substantial number of members, and two other members are temporarily sidelined from group activities. Recently, Sophia Laforteza has withdrawn from group activities for health reasons and Manon Bannerman has been absent since February due to her health and wellbeing.
Despite these changes, KATSEYE has continued preparing for its ambitious WILD WORLD Tour. The tour will be a major milestone for the group as it brings its music to audiences across various destinations. As a concert tour requires a strong physical recovery for performers who have to do a lot of rehearsals, choreography and live shows.
Megan’s ankle injury occurred during preparations for those performances, so the timing was extremely unfortunate. Rather than risk further damage to her ankle by going to the festival, KATSEYE is going to focus on her recovery. The move shows the physical strain on artists as they go to festivals and tours.
Fans will be monitoring closely for any updates on Megan’s condition and if her recovery is on track for the group’s September 1 tour opening in Dublin. KATSEYE’s focus is for now on allowing Megan to rest and recover properly.
While the cancellation is a disappointment for the group and fans who were hoping to see KATSEYE at Daisy Chain Fields, Megan is able to focus on healing. With the WILD WORLD Tour approaching, it might be more important that she is physically ready than to have to go to another festival and then go back to work.
Daisy Chain Fields will proceed with its new lineup, while KATSEYE gets ready for the next stage in its musical journey. The fans of the group are waiting for Megan to get better and will be able to come back from her injuries and take her part in the WILD WORLD Tour in the future.
