Suki Waterhouse Says She’d ‘Nepo-Baby’ Daughter With Robert Pattinson in Hollywood
Suki Waterhouse has opened up about how she would respond if her daughter with actor Robert Pattinson decided to pursue a career in Hollywood.
The singer, actress and model said she would not discourage her daughter from entering the entertainment industry and joked that she'd be very helpful to her daughter and would use her family ties.
Waterhouse was asked recently by NYLON if she would advise her two-year-old daughter not to follow her parents into the entertainment business. Her reply was straightforward.
She said she saw no reason to discourage her daughter and jokingly said that she would be “nepo-babying the hell out of her.”
She seemed to see how blunt the comment was and said, “Oh no. Why didn’t I just keep that inside?”
The comment refers to the term “nepo baby” used mostly for children of famous or influential parents who might gain from their family networks to get into the competitive industries of film, television, fashion or music.
Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson welcomed their first child, a daughter, in March 2024. The couple has kept their family life generally private and has not released the name of their daughter publicly.
Their daughter is now two years old and Waterhouse’s comments were more about career options for her future and not immediate plans to enter show business.
Waterhouse herself has worked in a variety of entertainment. She began as a model before moving into acting and later became a singer-songwriter.
Her acting credits include movies like “Love, Rosie” and “The Divergent Series: Insurgent,” and she has also appeared in the TV series “Daisy Jones & The Six.”
She still works on music, including her latest album “Loveland.”
Her comments also come as she and Pattinson remain high-profile figures in the entertainment industry. Pattinson had a busy 2026 in terms of film projects and the return to Batman.
Recently, the couple had a rare red carpet appearance at the Venice Film Festival together for the premiere of Pattinson’s “Primetime.”
Waterhouse’s joke has also brought attention back to the larger issue of celebrity children and industry privilege.
Some famous parents have said they would discourage their children from entering entertainment, but Waterhouse seems more open to the benefits of being part of a well-connected Hollywood family.
