Hollywood star Gal Gadot is getting closer to releasing her new psychological thriller, The Runner, which will be released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on September 2. Amazon MGM Studios produced the film with some of the most demanding and emotionally grueling roles for Gadot.
In Kevin Macdonald’s vision, The Runner stars Gal Gadot as Maia Marten, a successful London lawyer whose life is turned upside down when she goes for a morning run. She gets a call from an unknown number that her son was kidnapped and Maia is ordered to comply with a series of increasingly dangerous instructions; any attempt to seek help or stop running would be risking the life of her son.
The film works as a relentless race through London’s streets to save Maia from an impossible situation, and she will have to figure out how to outsmart the kidnapper. Now she’s in a race to get her son out of there and in a very tough position to retrieve her son before the time is up.
Gadot is joining the cast as well as the British actor Damian Lewis, who plays a central role in the suspenseful story. The trailer implies an interesting cat-and-mouse thriller with surprising twists, emotional stakes, and fast-paced action scenes.
Amazon MGM Studios just unveiled the trailer and poster for the film, which also promises to give people a first look at the film’s high-octane plot. It’s a lot of chase scenes and a lot of action and Gadot’s emotional acting as a mother trying to protect her child from harm’s way.
