OTT Releases This Week: Chumbak, Ghamasaan, The Revolutionaries and More Titles to Stream
The second week of September will bring another batch of high-quality movies and web series to India’s leading OTT platforms. From comedy and family entertainment to action thrillers and historical dramas, there are always many options to choose from between September 7 and September 13, 2026. Chumbak, Ghamasaan and The Revolutionaries are among the most eagerly awaited and there are also several regional releases.
Chumbak is among the best new releases of the week, and will be released on Netflix on September 10. The Hindi comedy-family series is about five eccentric families in Chumbak Colony as neighbours. Their everyday lives become intertwined, with lots of family drama, humour and chaos. Neena Gupta, Sumeet Vyas, Deven Bhojani, Amyra Dastur, and Aatish Kapadia and JD Majethia are involved in the production.
Ghamasaan is one of the biggest releases of the week for those seeking an action-packed crime drama. The Pratik Gandhi and Arshad Warsi film will be broadcast on ZEE5 on September 11. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film is set in the heartland of Hindi and deals with rivalries, friendships and conflicts of characters on both sides of the law. Ishita Dutta and Rajpal Yadav are also in the film.
Another big attraction is The Revolutionaries that will launch on Prime Video on September 11. The period drama is based on young Indian revolutionaries who fought against British rule, created by Nikkhil Advani. Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada are in the series. It’s also one of the most eagerly awaited Hindi streaming releases of the week with the historical setting and ensemble cast.
Regional cinema is also in high demand this week. Demonte Colony 3, the film's third installment in the Tamil horror-thriller series, will arrive on Sun NXT on September 10. The movie is directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and stars Arulnithi, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram and Meenakshi Govindarajan.
This week also brings Prince of Mollywood to JioHotstar on September 11. The Malayalam comedy-drama tells the story of an aspiring pan-Indian superstar whose ambitions are frustrated by his family, friends and personal life. The series stars Dain Davis, Harishma, Vidhya Vijayakumar and Nirmal Palazhi.
Other releases on the week are Fauda Season 5, which is out on Netflix on September 8 and several regional language films and series that are available on a number of platforms.
