Television actress Akanksha Chamola has been openly speaking about her emotions as she has separated from actor Gaurav Khanna. In the latest episode of Lock Upp 2, she had an emotional conversation about relationships, marriage, and sexuality and said she is not interested in romantic or physical relationships and does not want to get married again.

In an emotional talk with fellow contestant Varun Yadav, she was asked whether she would consider getting married in the future. Responding truthfully, she said that her marriage has left her emotionally distant.
"Mere ko darr baith gaya hain," she said, and explained that a deep fear has developed in her after going through the divorce.
The discussion later turned to sexuality when Varun asked her about her current feelings. Akanksha said that she believes a person’s sexuality and emotional needs can change with the stages of life.
She said, “Sexuality keeps changing. It depends on the phase you’re going through. I’m going through a divorce and I don’t want sex with anyone—men or women. I’m in a different phase and I call it asexual."
She has been in the news and there are a lot of people talking on social media about how major life changes affect relationships and personal identity in general and the emotional impact that very large life changes have on people’s lives.
In another discussion with co-contestant Pamela on the show, Akanksha reflected on her marriage and future. She married at the age of 24 and thinks she has experienced enough to know what she wants in life.
Although Pamela encouraged her by saying she is still young and may find love again, Akanksha made it clear that remarriage is not part of her plans.
"I don’t want to get married again. I think I am done. For the first time in my life I am going to live alone—not under my parents' roof or my husband's roof. I am going to have my own house. I am going to ride solo for life now," she said.
Akanksha also talked about one of the reasons that led to the end of her marriage. She never had a strong maternal instinct and slowly realized that motherhood was not something she wanted.
In the beginning, she had been open to feeling those feelings and her then-husband had supported her decision, the actress said. But in time their vision and expectations evolved and that led to problems with the relationship.
Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola got married on November 24, 2016, in Kanpur. After nearly a decade together, the couple decided to part ways. In Lock Upp 2, Akanksha has opened up about her journey of self-discovery, independence, and a new chapter.
