Chiranjeevi is once more being discussed in the Telugu cinema industry as his impact on some of the actors of Telugu film industry has become the talk of many.
Some think senior stars have any power in the film industry and others defend Chiranjeevi.
The accusations on social media that Chiranjeevi might have hindered the opportunities for some actors to become film stars are that Chiranjeevi blocked the career of some actors but there is no proof that Chiranjeevi is accused of blocking or sabotaging other actors’ films and there is no evidence that Chiranjeevi has tried to stop or sabotage the careers of other actors.
Chiranjeevi has been a big actor in Telugu cinema for decades now.
He has been a superstar from the very beginning of the film industry till now he is one of the most popular actors of Telugu cinema and movie stars in the industry and film industry as a whole and he has a huge fan base.
So any row on Chiranjeevi is one of the most talked about topics of interest to the fans and the film industry at that time.
Chiranjeevi’s fans have also voiced their sentiments on social media with messages like “We Love You” and “We Believe You.” And more recently the fans have rallied around a slogan “One Moon. One Sun. One Chiranjeevi” as a response to the debate.
And so is the phrase that has become a way for supporters to shine light on the Megastar.
They say they have been following Chiranjeevi from very early days and don’t want social media allegations to change their opinion on him. For his fans, Chiranjeevi’s work in Telugu cinema is the bigger picture.
The controversy that started was from the rising young star Uday Kiran who got engaged to Megastar Chiranjeevi's eldest daughter, Sushmitha, in 2003. Later due to some dispute the engagement was called off.
After the split, Uday Kiran’s career spiraled downward with several box office flops and there were rumors and social media accounts that big families in the industry sidelined him.
Opinion of industry analysts and Uday Kiran’s family members has been mixed on this but Chiranjeevi was supportive during low points.
Consensus has been that Uday Kiran’s decline has to do with personal problems, a changing market and bad script choices rather than sabotage.
